Plan your trip around one of Scotlands most beautiful coastal routes.
NC500: More than 500 miles of the best the North of Scotland has to offer. The route way runs to and from Inverness, venturing round the capital of the Highlands, up the West Coast and back via the rugged North Coast.
The North Coast 500 was created in 2014 by the North Highland Initiative. The North Highland Initiative (NHI) is a non profit making organisation that was established by HRH, The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay in 2005 in an effort to develop economic growth across the North Highlands. NHI works across the three main sectors: food & drink, tourism and built environment. It was through the Tourism Project Board that the idea of the North Coast 500 was born.
Bringing together a route of just over 500 miles of stunning coastal scenery, the route path naturally follows the main roads across the coastal edges of the North Highlands taking in the villages and towns of places like Ullapool, Durness, John O'Groats, and Dornoch where you can stay in one of our luxury 4 star bedrooms, many of which over-look the golf course and Dornoch Firth beyond.
If you quote NC500RGH on arrival at the hotel you will also receive a complimentary bottle of wine
