Scottish golfers' paradise
Royal Golf Hotel
Due to current COVID restrictions, the hotel is closed and will re-open on Friday 30th April 2021
Located on Royal Dornoch's First Tee, The Royal Golf Hotel is a Scottish golfers' paradise providing a traditional Highland welcome.
Many of the 22 en-suite four-star and individually styled bedrooms overlook both the golf course and Dornoch Firth beyond. To complement this we also have 14 luxury 2 bedrooms, 2 bathroom apartments available on a self-catering or fully catered basis, ideally located for golfing or leisure breaks.
The Royal Golf Hotel was awarded 'Scottish Golf Hotel of the year 2011' awarded at The Scottish Hotel Awards Ceremony and it helps reinforce our belief that we have one of the best golfing destinations in Scotland.
Interestingly the distance from the hotel reception to the first tee is probably the shortest walk in the world from a hotel to a nearby golf club.
When you make your bedroom reservation, we are happy to arrange golf tee times on your behalf at local golf courses including Royal Dornoch (ranked number 2 in the world by Golf Digest), Brora Golf Club, Golspie Golf Club, Tain Golf Club, Castle Stuart Golf Links and Nairn Golf Club.
The Royal Golf Hotel is your ideal base in the Highlands and with 20 golf courses within an hour's drive, as well as extensive hill walking, fishing, and the many award-winning beaches all nearby, you are sure of a memorable breakaway.
We welcome guests canine companions into the hotel at £15 per dog per stay. Dogs are permitted in bedrooms provided they are not left unattended, although regrettably not in the restaurant. However, we do allow well-behaved dogs in the bar area under supervision from their owner!
Superfast WiFi broadband connection is available free of charge throughout the hotel including guest bedrooms.
We all look forward to welcoming you to The Royal Golf Hotel in Dornoch.
